TESLA ENERGY SOLUTIONS
Backup Power Designed Around Your Home
The right backup system depends on your electrical service, energy usage, high-demand appliances, solar equipment and the loads you want available during an outage. We evaluate those conditions before confirming the final system design.
Tesla Powerwall
Rechargeable home battery storage designed to supply backup power during grid outages and manage stored energy from solar or the grid.
Gateway & Backup Equipment
Gateway, Backup Switch or related control equipment selected around utility approval, system design and whole-home or partial-home backup goals.
Tesla PowerShare
Home-backup planning for compatible Tesla vehicles and supported equipment, subject to Tesla product compatibility, utility requirements and site conditions.
TESLA SOLAR PANELS
Generate Clean Energy From Your Roof
Tesla Solar Panels convert sunlight into electricity for your home. A properly designed system considers roof space, shade, household energy use, future EV charging and whether you want to pair solar production with Powerwall storage.
Tesla Solar Panels
Sleek, low-profile, all-black panels designed to blend with the roofline while producing energy for the home.
Tesla Solar Inverter
Converts the electricity produced by the panels into usable power for household loads, with system monitoring through the Tesla app.
Solar + Powerwall
Store available solar energy for later use and provide outage protection through a properly designed Powerwall and backup configuration.
What We Consider During Solar Planning
- Current and future household energy use
- Roof orientation, usable area and shading conditions
- Existing electrical panel and service capacity
- Solar-inverter and rapid-shutdown equipment
- Powerwall quantity and backup-load goals
- EV charging and other planned electrical loads
- Utility interconnection and permission to operate
- Permitting, inspections and site-specific upgrades
System size, production and savings vary by roof, shading, weather, energy consumption, utility rules and the final approved design. We do not promise a fixed production or utility-bill reduction before the property is evaluated.
SITE & ELECTRICAL PLANNING
What We Evaluate Before Installation
- Main electrical service and panel capacity
- Existing solar system and inverter configuration
- Available equipment locations and required clearances
- Grounding, bonding, disconnects and conductor routing
- Whole-home versus selected-load backup goals
- HVAC, appliances, EV charging and other large loads
- Utility, permit and inspection requirements
- Potential panel, meter or service upgrades
Final equipment selection and backup capability are based on the approved system design, available electrical capacity and the combined demand of the loads you want to support.

Whole-Home or Essential-Load Backup?
A whole-home system is designed around supporting the home’s electrical loads within the system’s approved power limits. A partial-home design uses a backup-load panel to prioritize essential circuits while leaving selected high-demand loads off the backup system.
We help identify the practical configuration based on household priorities, outage expectations and the electrical equipment already installed.
- Refrigeration, lighting, Wi-Fi and receptacles
- Selected HVAC equipment
- Medical or work-from-home equipment
- Security, garage and essential household circuits
- Other loads supported by the final design
Tesla Energy Frequently Asked Questions
Will Tesla Solar Panels power my home during an outage?
A grid-connected solar system normally shuts down during an outage for safety. When solar is paired with a properly configured Powerwall and backup system, available solar energy can support the home and recharge the battery during an outage, subject to system conditions and load limits.
How is the solar-system size determined?
System sizing considers recent electricity usage, roof characteristics, shading, utility rules and planned future loads such as an EV, electric appliances or home expansion.
Does Powerwall require solar panels?
Powerwall may be installed with solar or in an approved configuration without solar. Available operating modes, incentives and utility requirements vary, so the final recommendation must be based on the property and current program rules.
Can one Powerwall back up my entire house?
That depends on the home’s loads and the final system design. The number of batteries and whether the project uses whole-home or selected-load backup must be determined from the equipment and energy demands.
Will I need an electrical panel upgrade?
Not every property needs one. We inspect the service equipment and planned configuration first. Some projects may require panel work, service modifications, a backup-load panel or other code-required electrical upgrades.
Can PowerShare use a Tesla vehicle for home backup?
PowerShare is designed for compatible Tesla vehicles and approved supporting equipment. Vehicle compatibility, home equipment, utility approval and the current Tesla configuration must all be confirmed before installation.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Permit, inspection and utility-coordination requirements are identified during project planning and included in the written scope when applicable.
